Eligibility Requirements: NO Previous law enforcement experience necessary Applicant must be at least 21 years of age Applicant must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license Applicant must be of good character and free of criminal record Applicant must be a high school graduate or have acquired a high school equivalency certificate (GED) If a veteran, applicant must have been honorably discharged Applicant must pass City/Parish Civil Service Exam for Deputy Constable Applicant must pass the physical assessment before being hired
Pay and Benefits: Starting pay is $13.77 per hour State supplemental pay ($425.00 per month after one year from date of graduation of P.O.S.T.
